Evaluating the Importance of Mitotic Asymmetry in Cyton-based Models for Fse-based Flow Cytometry Data

چکیده
We carry out computational inverse problem investigations to determine the importance of allowing for unequal label allocation to daughter cells during mitosis. Parameter estimations are performed using previously developed label-structured partial differential equation models that utilize cytons to account for variability in times between cell divisions as well as times until cell death. These models are augmented to allow for asymmetric cell divisions through inclusion of an additional model parameter. We employ well-known model comparison tests to analyze CFSE-based flow cytometry data with respect to the importance of asymmetric division during proliferation of human CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.

Evaluating the Role of Company Life Cycle for an Appropriate Model in Predicting the Quality of Discretionary Accruals (Abnormal) Based on Dickinson Cash Flow Model Approach
The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the role of the company life cycle in providing an appropriate model in predicting the quality of discretionary accruals (Abnormal) using the Dickinson Cash Flow Model approach. The statistical population of the research consisted of 180 company observations that were divided into three stages of life cycle using Dickinson's model variables (2011...
متن کاملA novel statistical analysis and interpretation of flow cytometry data
A recently developed class of models incorporating the cyton model of population generation structure into a conservation-based model of intracellular label dynamics is reviewed. Statistical aspects of the data collection process are quantified and incorporated into a parameter estimation scheme. This scheme is then applied to experimental data for PHA-stimulated CD4+T and CD8+T cells collected...
متن کاملOn the impact of correlation between collaterally consanguineous cells on lymphocyte population dynamics.
During an adaptive immune response, lymphocytes proliferate for five to twenty-five cell divisions, then stop and die over a period of weeks. Based on extensive flow cytometry data, Hawkins et al. (Proc Natl Acad Sci USA 104:5032-5037, 2007) introduced a cell-level stochastic model of lymphocyte population dynamics, called the Cyton Model, that accurately captures mean lymphocyte population siz...
متن کاملOn Calibration and Application of Logit-Based Stochastic Traffic Assignment Models
There is a growing recognition that discrete choice models are capable of providing a more realistic picture of route choice behavior. In particular, influential factors other than travel time that are found to affect the choice of route trigger the application of random utility models in the route choice literature. This paper focuses on path-based, logit-type stochastic route choice models, i...
متن کاملPresentation of a Non-invasive Method of Estimating Arterial Stiffness by Modeling Blood Flow and Arterial Wall Based on the Determination of Elastic Module of Arterial Wall
Introduction: Arterial stiffness is an important predictor of cardiovascular risk. Several indices have been introduced to estimate the arterial stiffness based on the changes in the brachial blood pressure. Since the substitution of the blood pressure changes in the central arteries such as carotid with the blood pressure changes in the brachial results in error in the blood...
